Definition of fully vs partially qualified pool: A fully qualified pool is a list of candidates who have been assessed and who meet the merit criteria of the position. A partially qualified pool consists of candidates who have been assessed on some, but not all of the merit criteria. Further assessment will be required on the remaining essential merit criteria and assessment may be required for asset merit criteria (if applicable). Candidates must eventually meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed.

Various methods of assessment may be administered (written exam, interview, references, etc.).

Definition of inventory: An inventory where a candidate has applied but has not been assessed against any or all merit criteria is not considered a pool and will not be considered in the context of this process. If you have been fully or partially qualified in a pool, you would have received a letter from the responsible organization indicating this status.

Persons are entitled to participate in the appointment process in the official language of their choice.

Proof of education will be required which includes diploma(s) and possibly transcript(s). Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials for further information. If the name identified on the above documents is different than your current legal name, please also provide proof of name change.
