Public Service Occupational Health Program (PSOHP) is the occupational health service provider responsible for the provision of three service lines for federal government departments: Occupational Health Evaluation Services, Communicable Disease Services and Occupational Hygiene Advice.

Intent of the process
The process aims to create an inventory of qualified candidates to fill positions, at Health Canada's Specialized Health Services Directorate. Applications will be accepted on a regular basis and will be evaluated regularly to fill immediate needs, thus as long as the poster is active.

- Successful completion of two years of secondary school; or

EDUCATION
- Certificate/Diploma as a Medical Office Assistant from a recognized post-secondary institution.
EXPERIENCE
- Recent* experience working as a medical office assistant in a medical clinic or medical office
*Recent is defined as at least one (1) year of experience acquired within the last five (5) years.

Operational requirements
- Ability and willingness to work up to five (5) days in the office.
- Ability and willingness to do overtime on short notice.
- Ability and willingness to travel at times.
- Ability and willingness to work a set of pre-determined hours.
- Ability and willingness to manually lift and carry equipment safely to a maximum of twenty (20) kg.

DOCUMENT GATHERING & ASSET VALIDATION: Should you successfully meet the criteria assessed during the written assessment, you will be invited to do an interview and the document gathering step of the hiring process. In this step, you will be asked to submit the required documentation to support your application (e.g., proof of education, Second Language Evaluation results, etc.). During this step, you may also be asked to validate/elaborate on your asset experiences.
