How the application process works in five steps

1. APPLICATION: All applications must be submitted online through the VidCruiter platform.  Do not e-mail, fax, or mail documents.  Health Canada is not responsible for on-line system issues which may result in loss of data and/or incomplete or un-submitted applications.

In your application, clearly demonstrate how you meet each criteria (education, occupational certification and experience) in the responses to the online questions and on your resume.  Provide specific and detailed information or examples that demonstrates how (i.e., work duties or completion/possession of education or certification), when (i.e., month-year to month-year) and where (i.e., employer or organization/institution) you gained the experience, occupational certification or education.

Candidates will not be solicited for incomplete or possibly missing information.

Please note that in addition to all assessment methods such as the application, exam, interview, correspondence and communication in relation to this selection process may also be used to assess certain qualifications.

The information you provide in this application must be true and may be verified. Any false information may result in the rejection of your application and/or not hiring you.

Please only check off the locations that you are truly willing and able to work from. By submitting an application, you are confirming that you are either currently living in one of these locations or are willing to relocate to them.

2. SCREENING: Screening is the initial review of your application. You MUST meet the essential education, occupational certification and experience criteria in order to be considered for the next phase of the evaluation process.  Depending on the number of applications received, operational needs and HR plans, asset criteria and/or volume management strategies may be applied.

3. ASSESSMENT: If you meet the essential education, occupational certification and experience criteria assessed during the screening stage, you will be invited via email to move forward to the next stage of the assessment process. Various methods of assessment may be administered (written exam, interview, references, etc.).

To ensure the integrity of the selection process, the content and questions of the assessment must remain confidential. Please do not discuss or share the assessment content with anyone, including other candidates. You must complete the assessment, including screening questions, by yourself, without the help of others, including the use of unapproved internet resources and artificial intelligence. Any violation may result in potential consequences which could include your elimination from this selection process.
